Stay
Cottages shaped for climbers, couples, and families who need a calm base from which to explore and reconnect in the Cederberg mountains.
The place
Nama Rocklands is shaped as a Cederberg farm lodge where full days outside and quiet recoveries share the same roof.

Nama Rocklands is a female-owned, off-grid guest farm nestled in South Africa’s Cederberg, created as a place to slow down and reconnect with nature and friends.
After several years travelling and working as a behavioural economist in Germany, I returned to my roots and began the journey of building Nama Rocklands, my South African homestead. As a rock climber, I was drawn to the warmth and energy of the Rocklands bouldering community—a place that brings friends from across the world each winter season.
The guesthouse is an expression of my love for thoughtful design, natural textures and organic, locally sourced ingredients. Every detail has been carefully curated, from the sustainably sourced linen and locally made soaps to the biodegradable cleaning products. An off-grid retreat, Nama Rocklands offers eco-luxury that feels both grounded and generous.
South African design is at the heart of the experience, creating spaces that reflect the character of the Cederberg while offering comfort, calm and a sense of place.
Whether you come to climb, explore the mountains or simply rest beneath wide-open skies, Nama Rocklands is a welcoming base for discovery—and a small, personal part of my journey home.
